2010-02-13 02:04:09 UTC
I got a virus from cliking on a link sent to me on msn that said "Foto=]" and then the link, but i dont know if i still have it.

I went onto my norton and in history it said that it detected a trojan.wimad(detected by virus scanner) wich was fully removed, was that the virus? all my msn friends said that they never received the link from me which is usually sent to all your contacts when you have the virus... also when i go into my recent history on norton it says "Unauthorized access blocked(oo pen proccess token)" and also "Unauthorized acced logged (Access Thread Data)" which are listen under Norton Product Tamper Protection and it says no action required for all of them. Alot of Tracking Cookies, are these bad??

Anyways, i went to msnvirusremoval.com and it wouldnt let me download it, probably because i am using WINDOWS 7. if you have any tips or know anything about this virus please comment. Thank-You =] If you have any questions about this, leave it in a comment below and i will anwer in additional details.

hey

if your friends do not recieve any links from you the virus has been removed!

Some tracking cookies are bad so scan your PC regulary to remove malwares and bad stuff.

a good antivirus removes all that bad stuff and Norton IS good.

In case you have a problem the next time try using this MSN virus remover

First of all, if you haven't experienced any symptoms, I would suggest you have been saved from infection by Norton. Symptoms might include slow internet connection, chat windows "disappearing" and not being able to be brought back up.

My best guess would be that trojan.wimad was the virus, though it is impossible to say for sure.

Tracking cookies are nothing to be worried about.

MSNVirusRemoval.com has no restriction on who can download what. From time to time a download may be offline (usually MSN Virus Info Gatherer). Did you try to download MSN Virus Remover or MSN Virus Info Gatherer? did you get an error message or anything like that? Could you please let me know through email on my Yahoo Answers Profile?

msnremovevirus.com??

uh that be a fake (seriously how you not guess at that?)

also, norton is rubbish (just to let you knw) and tracking cookies are fine, really they do nothing, norton just tells you about them as it wants you to think its doing something

it wont be becasue yoy have windows 7

msn does warn you about opening links you don t knw where ther frm so you can only blame yourself
