Why do i get Delivery Status Notification (FAILURE) ? PLEASE HELP 10 POINTS TO WHOEVER FIXES PROBLEM!?

Question

Why do i keep getting this? I have no other way to contact this person I'm emailing. He wants to buy a thing that i posted on Craigslist and i cant contact him any other way. I tried both my email accounts and same result. I know his email address is correct because i just simply clicked reply. His email ends in @shaw.ca if that helps in anyway. PLEASE HELP ME ,THIS IS URGENT :(

Two possibilities:

1. The e-mail wasn't really sent because of either e-mail address doesn't exists (possibly deleted), or the domain shaw.ca blocks e-mail from live.com

2. The e-mail was sent but there was a problem with shaw.ca machine, which makes the auto-responder sent such messages (this had happened to me, i thought that the e-mail wasn't sent, but the next day, i received a reply from the person i e-mailed).

Ok, first to answer your questions in order:

You keep getting it because it is an automated reply. The email server is just saying "beep! error! beep!" and that's why it won't work. Chances are they have a bad "reply to" address in their configuration, a typo. Clicking a bad link can happen. Check to see if the TO address is the same as the one you are replying to; even if it is it might still be a typo!



Secondly, you can contact this person! They are reading your ad! Just edit the add and put in something like:

"If you have tried contacting me from **@shaw.ca I couldn't reach you, please try again from a different address" or something simple like that. It's common enough that people mistype their return email addresses and updating ads on Cragslist is common.



Also it's Craigslist, you get 1 out of 20 people being total flakes, if it doesn't work try again.

Are you in canada? If not I HIGHLY reccommend avoid international tranactions on craigslist. They are scams 99.9999% of the time. They will send you a very authentic looking cashiers check that will clear, until you get a call from the bank weeks later and you will be responsible for give all the money back, spent or not.



Chances are that email address belonged to a scammer who moved on and you got lucky.

You have to click and drag all of the files into the trashbin (previously set up by your computer). Then, you much open up the trash file and click on "delete all files forever." Best of luck!
