I am having a problem with my MSN Hotmail email account?

I have no idea what has happened here. I have had my hotmail account for about 2 years+ now and have always used the same password. Today I have gone to login to my email and it wont recognise my password. At first I thought I'd typed it wrong but I hadn't at all, I went through the motions to send a password reset email but of course this goes to my hotmail account that I cant get into, I have now locked myself out! I have googled "Hotmail Query Form" and have been able to submit a query but I have no idea whether they'll get back in touch with me or not, knowing my luck they wont!! My hotmail email has emails that I need to get in to like xmas gift receipts and a New Year holiday receipt that I really need to get in to and I dont know what to do, can any body help me please? Thank you

You could always sign up for a new email account so they can send you your password to the new email address , anything such as Google , Yahoo that way you wont need to try and get into your Hotmail email account, and once your back in you can just carry on with your Hotmail account plus youll always have another email addy for all that spam ! lol

Do a password retrieval then change the password. It could be that with the same password for years that someone managed to hack it. Always change passwords on your accounts, its one of the unwritten (and written) rules/laws about computer security.

Go to Start at the bottom left on screen, choose control pannel, click on user accounts, choose your name, you should see options where you can put in your password. If this does not work call MSN for help.

Hi there!!! if you are locked out of your account with hotmail and unable to ask them what to do...

Then as Hotmail is a free account.... why not open another E.Mail account with Hotmail .... Then access their support etc...and explain your prob to them & then get them to help you with your initial account. Hopefully you will get someone sensible and they will be able to help you sort out your problem
