Windows Live Messenger viruses?

I had a message the other day from a freind with a link to a website called omg video and the link had my msn address in it is this just a virus or is there really a video with my msn address name in it because when i clicked on it it said it wanted to run an MSDOS application thank you in advance

NO, do not click on the link.

I get these every so often, aswell.

How these things generate messages from my actual friends, I have no idea, but if anything like that pops up again, immediately message your friend and ask them what that is. From personal experiences, they'll ask what I'm talking about and have no idea the thing even popped up. If that happens, again, don't click it.

ITS A VIRUS, DONT OPEN THIS, or it will make u send the same file 2 all ur friends and it can ruin ur computer, DONT OPEN IT
