So I downloaded Windows live messenger 2011, and I loved it. The next time I turned on my computer, it had some kind of problem and said 'it could not start' and had to do some 'fixing' things to it. When my computer finally came on, I noticed I had the old Messenger. I downloaded the new one again, but I can't find where Windows Live Messenger 2011 is on my computer? It doesn't open up on it's own, and I've downloaded it off of http://explore.live.com/windows-live-messenger-get-started?os=other about a trillion times! How can I open it up? I can't even use the old messenger, cos it's saying its unavalible? Help!

You don't say what OS you have got for a start but it will not work on XP though.

These are the OS requirements to run it.

Operating system: 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 7, Windows Vista‌ Service Pack 2 with the Platform Update for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 and the Platform Update for Windows Server 2008.
