run ccleaner

CCleaner

=========

google ccleaner and install it from the result filehippo. While it installs just untick the boxes as some programs you dont want.

run the cleaner in windows/applications but dont tick the bottom 11 boxes in the Windows Tab.

run the registry cleaner as well, when it asks to back up the registry , allow it to do it, then clean the registry. You should run the registry cleaner a couple of times, but you only need to save it the once.

Also ccleaner will remove the program entry that you may have difficulty with in add/remove, or the uninstall doesn't work.

Just ensure you tick the one program and not the whole computer to delete.

download messenger from here

try to save it as a file, untick all the rubbish

hi

►► You have to use this program created by microsoft to remove WLM 9.0 beta3/WLM 2009

Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 1.0

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us

once started search in the programs list for "(All Users) Windows Live Messenger [14.0.5027.0908]"

mark it with a mouse click, then click on the 'remove' button'

►windows live messenger 8.5

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7a1aae73-48cc-4f7a-b445-0487bd5e84ef&DisplayLang=en

► PLUS 4.70 ( for WLM 8.5)

http://www.msgpluslive.net

NOTE: if you are trying to install WLM 8.5 and having problems, using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility search and remove "(all User) Windows Live Beta (all programs) [14.0.5025.904]"

►►if it doesn't work use "zapmessenger"

A regular issue faced is the dreaded “Another version of the product is already installed”, “Your computer has a newer version of MSN Messenger than the one you are trying to install”, ““Your computer has a newer version of Windows Live Messenger than the one you are trying to install”, “The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable” and similar messages.
