ok so i have msn 8.5 and it says i MUST upgrade?

but its telling me i have to upgrade. So when i try to upgrade to 9.0 it starts downloading then tells me it couldnt download because it didnt reach the following requirements (then it list all the requirements) and i cant use 8.5 anymore ! can anybody tell me how i can use 8.5 again or help me download 9.0 please

I am using WLM version 8.0,



run any older version of MSN Messenger/WLM on WinXP or Vista

MSN Messenger / WLM keeps telling me "A newer version is available. You must install the newer version in order to continue. Would you like to do this now?" It is just a few simple steps to to keep using the old version of MSN Messenger,

A:

1. Right click on the icon of MSN/WLM

2. Click on Properties

3. Go to Tab Compatibility

4. Select the check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode" for: and choose "Windows 2000"

5. Click OK to apply the changes
